Multi Barrier Corrosion Service (MTD)

The Magnetic Thickness Detector (MTD) is a 1-11/16 in O.D electromagnetic corrosion measuring instrument primarily run through tubing with the unique ability to simultaneously inspect tubing and the casings behind it. The integrity of the casing string can be evaluated without the need of a costly workover rig or time-consuming removal of the tubing completion.

The latest generation MTD-E tool is capable of evaluating thickness measurements up to four barriers. The state-of-the-art instrument combines a high-power transmitter, improved signal-to-noise (SNR) electronics and fully configurable acquisition. This flexible approach allows a wide range of evaluations under different conditions and conveyance systems.

The MTD-E tool has two sets of sensors, which deliver high-energy electromagnetic pulses into the pipes surrounding the tool. Based on the Pulsed Eddy Current physics principles, the tool records the composite decay of the eddy current signals that are used to evaluate the pipe conditions.

Multi Finger Caliper (MFC)

Multi Finger Caliper tool delivers direct, accurate and reliable tubular internal diameter measurement. The acquired data provides client with a clear picture on anomalies in the inner tubing or casing i.e. metal lost, scale deposit, tubing burst, collapse, pitting and holes. The tool comes in 40 or 60 multi fingers that moves radially along the inner tubular to record the internal diameter. The data is then processed by advanced software to produce detailed 3D color images & statistical analysis as a final product.

Radial Cement Bond Log (RBL)

Cement evaluation is an essential part of field operation to ensure effective hydraulic seal between zones. Poor cement job may cause unwanted fluid migration between zones. In a worst-case scenario, well integrity can be compromised leading to catastrophic events.

AZR Technologies provides cement evaluation services by utilizing the Radial Bond Log tool. The RBL, compared to traditional CBL, provides qualitative radial measurement due to the 8 radial sensors receivers located at 2ft along the tool. The radial measurement provides 360-degree evaluation of the tubular and identifies possible channeling behind the casing.

RBL tool Features:

  • 2 ft radial sensors, 3ft Cement Bond Log (CBL) and 5ft Variable Density Log (VDL)
  • 360-degree evaluation of the tubular and possible channeling behind casing by 8 pieces of 2ft, 45 degrees receivers

Spectral Noise Log (SNL)

The Spectral Noise Log service identifies any leak on the tubing or casing accurately. The tool records noise via a sensitive hydrophone sensor using various frequency spectrum and amplitude. Together with borehole temperature and well data, the noise spectrum is analyzed to determine the leak point and flow behind casing, which will be of an advantage to the client’s future remedial job plan.
